Harry Middlebrooks - Balladeer
"The Early Years" (1962-1972)
This CD contains
recordings from the
years 1962 to 1972 by a young
Harry Middlebrooks whose unusually high
tenor voice brought him from Atlanta to
Los Angeles in the mid-1960's to host
his own KABC-TV Channel 7 weekly
variety "The Middlebrooks Show".
And though later, vocal surgery somewhat
altered his sound, these recordings
are a testament to his ability to, as
Lawrence Welk himself once said about
Harry, "really reach the high notes..!"

The Middlebrooks Musical Ensemble
(And Pick-Up Band)
This instrumental CD, by some of my
musician friends and me, is a potpourri
of songs attempting to capture a portion
of the many musical styles found in the
southern United States. We had a
great time making this, and hope that you,
too, can "feel the southern spirit" in
these recordings
Special Note: My late mom dearly
loved
this album, and played and "danced"
to it well into her 90's ....

"Funny How Time Slips Away"
This album was recorded in 1968
while I was under contract to
CAPITOL RECORDS. In the
band were some of Hollywood's
finest musicians, including the great
Glen Campbell (before his first
hit), and the arrangements
were by Nashville's Bill Justis ...

"The Forgotten Masters
The songs on this CD were initially
recorded with the intention of one day being completed and released on
several labels.
For some reason, that never happened.
So, I've completed them as necessary
and offer them to you now...
It's an interesting mix of musical styles,
but hopefully all well-done
and worthy of your enjoyment...

"And Then I Wrote"
This album contains many of my best
compositions over the past 45 years,
many of which have never been
previously recorded. And though
created from my own personal
life-experiences, perhaps you'll
relate to them in your own
special way...

Hank Roving and the Lintheads
"Country Comedy Songs"
For awhile now, country
comedy songs
have been missing from radio airplay.
Harry Middlebrooks (aka "Hank Roving")
has assembled here a group of his original
songs from over the years,
that deal with that seemingly lost art form
(i.e., he and his Lintheads are out to
"tickle your funny bone" ... !)

"Personal Favorites"
This is a CD of many of my
favorite songs that I've been able
to record over the years.
Most are ballads, but all have
that certain lyric and/or melodic
quality that I find especially
appealing.

"Sometimes I Rock"
My musical influences in high school
in small-town Georgia in the
mid-1950's were heavily weighted
with r&b, gospel, and good ole
rock-an'-roll. This CD contains a lot
of my original material,
plus some rock favorites
from folks you know and love ...
